Job Summary

Essential Job Functions

Job Brief
Leveraging our YouTube network consisting of a small but powerful portfolio of the largest kids and family YouTube channels in the world generating 1.5 Billion video views per month, the primary focus of this sales and revenue role is to build pocket.watch’s media sales capabilities, infrastructure, operations and business. You will own the media sales LOB, including strategy as well as targets and KPIs. Responsibilities include creating all the infrastructure and processes for launching the media sales operation including integrating Google Ad Manager and programmatic networks, developing sales materials and strategies for selling media, working with advertisers to explain and differentiate the value of advertising with pocket.watch, and post-sales campaign reporting. The selected candidate would be expected to possess an expertise in digital media operations, particularly in the YouTube ecosystem, as well as an understanding of competitive pricing and packaging. The ideal candidate is resourceful, ambitious, organized and has the ability to execute.

Responsibilities

  • Build pocket.watch’s media sales capabilities and operations including:
    • Create all the infrastructure and processes for launching the media sales operation
    • Working closely with Google/YouTube integrate and launch Google Ad Manager
    • Incorporate programmatic networks and sales partners including Viacom
    • Own media planning process for maximizing ROI from media sales
  • Work closely with VP of Sales, the broader sales team and sales partners on direct media sales to premium brands across several Kids/Family Categories (e.g., CPG, Travel and Entertainment, Theatrical/Studio, Gaming, Food & Beverage)
  • Develop pitch materials and packages around pocket.watch media offerings.
  • Grow and develop working relationships with sales partners, Google/YouTube, clients and agency partners

  • Act as consultant to understand client marketing objectives and strategy and suggest relevant media solutions

Responsibilities

  • Supervise editors, projects, and resource scheduling
  • Maintain clarity of information and facilitate channels of communication between the producers and editors
  • Manage post-production schedules, delivery deadlines, workflows (digitizing, upload for approval, reviews, and final distribution)
  • Facilitate communications between post and other departments
  • Fine tune current production infrastructure and internal workflows to enable fast-paced, successful delivery of our original productions
