Pocket.watch has the deepest respect for those special creators who’ve boot-strapped their way to the top of the short-form video world. With monster-truckloads of imagination, tenacity, pluck and charm, they are inventing multitudes of popular new content forms and building authentic new brands that kids love.

Each brings an individual brand — forged through passionate, personal fan affinities — with massive potential that has only yet been scratched. We’ll cultivate and harness these brands to earn premium market returns. We’ll navigate the complex show business landscapes. We’ll help educate parents on the new frontiers that our kids are pioneering. And together, we’ll enjoy the sweet fruit of our efforts.
We are personally reaching out to a handful of creators at the top of this special class. But, if you or someone you know is pocket.watch caliber, then please feel free to get in touch.
Following high school, Jordan, also known by his online pseudonym CaptainSparklez, began at UCSB as a Chemical Engineering student with a passion for video games. At that time, he was also watching others post narrated gameplay videos on YouTube and figured he would try his hand at it too. Over 10 million subscribers later, he now gets to focus on YouTube full-time, and most importantly explore his interests and creativity every day. On his first channel, CaptainSparklez, Jordan uploads videos of Minecraft let’s plays, animations, commentary and gameplay of other video games. To explore his other interests, he started additional channels including CaptainSparklez 2, on which he uploads videos of his Twitch live streams, a music channel called Maron Music, and a vlogging channel, Jordan Maron. On his vlogging channel, he gets to share with his audience his life beyond gaming and YouTube, specifically his love for luxury cars, working out, good food and his friends.
At 6 years old, Ryan is the number one creator on YouTube and receives more than 1 billion views per month! Ryan began uploading to Ryan ToysReview three years ago and has built a fanbase of kids around the world. As a YouTube viewer, he was inspired by popular YouTube channels to make his own videos about toys. Beyond toys, he also uploads sketches, video game playthroughs, science experiments and more. Since starting, Ryan’s world has grown to include two incredibly cute twin sisters, Emma and Kate, as well as the original characters Combo Panda, an animated panda gamer, and Gus the Gummy Gator, you guessed it, a gator who loves gummies and adventures. Both Combo Panda and Gus the Gummy Gator have successful spin-off channels. With over 12 million subscribers, Ryan is loved by kids and parents everywhere.
Not only is the Hobby family rambunctious, they’re animals! Not literally of course, but the three siblings, known as HobbyPig, HobbyFrog and HobbyBear can be wild fun on their unique family channel. In daily videos co-hosted by their parents, Hobby Mom and HobbyDad, they focus on toy reviews, video games, science experiments and other family-oriented topics. To the Hobby family, their YouTube channel, HobbyKidsTV, is an outlet for creativity and imagination. They are great at coming up with original ideas, while being mindful of the YouTube ecosystem and putting their own spin on trending topics. HobbyKids was among the first YouTube kids’ channels to feature giant surprise eggs, a viral YouTube trend and a sub-genre of the popular “unboxing” format. They began uploading in 2013 and within a year, their channel was already one of the biggest on YouTube, garnering more than 100 million views per month. They are currently working on an original animated series with Butch Hartman, the man behind Danny Phantom and The Fairly OddParents, called HobbyKids Adventures. Stay tuned!
Pizza, he loves cheese pizza. Although he likes his food plain, nothing about Evan’s life has been pepperoni-less. Since the age of 5, over half his life, Evan has been creating content with his family, DaddyTube, MommyTube and JillianTube. His fans love tuning into EvanTubeHD every week to see Evan reviewing his favorite toys and games, doing experiments, taking on his sister in trending challenges, performing in sketches and living the #blessed life. And EvanTubeHD isn’t the only place fans can find him! He also has two other YouTube channels; one that showcases the EvanTube family in real life, EvanTubeRaw, and another that features Evan and DaddyTube playing video games together, EvanTubeGaming. Apart from YouTube, Evan is still going to school full-time (getting straight A’s) and creating animations and music on his computer after school. As Evan’s pizz-a the YouTube pie continues to expand, he has stayed a relatable kid that his peers live vicariously through. He knows how to keep it extra cheesy.
Jillian might be the litter sister of well-known toy-reviewer EvanTubeHD, but her spinoff channel JillianTubeHD has been a huge success in its own right. She became a regular fixture on the EvanTubeHD channel after Evan came down with allergies and she had to sub in at the young age of 2. As her presence on the channel has grown, she has helped to bring young girls into the EvanTubeHD fanbase. She still appears regularly on EvanTubeHD to take on her brother in trending YouTube challenges, and is a key part of the Tube family vlogging channel, EvanTubeRaw. On her own channel Jillian focuses on topics she loves like dolls, creative projects, games and challenges. Above all she loves sharing arts and crafts ideas with her viewers, and is currently obsessed with making slime. When not filming videos, she’s doing Zumba, performing in musical theater and taking tap dance and voice lessons.
